Description
Care & Cleaning
It is made of stone, but not indestructible, which means, it may break if you drop it on the floor or handle it aggressively. If the coasters are soiled, a wet sponge with soap should do it. Though if you need to, you may wash it under cold water and scrub it with a nylon brush. No metal brushes should be used. Let it dry before placing it back into the holder.
Artist Thoughts
Hmong motifs are usually sewn into durable hemp fabric. Though for this piece I wanted to do something out of the ordinary and have the motifs engraved right into stone. Stone may or could very well be something our ancestors used before fabrics were made available, but we will not know unless it miraculously unearth itself from the area. That was what I was trying to portray in this current work of home decor.
